Project Description:
Denstone College Preparatory School had a 61m x 48.7m synthetic hockey pitch installed at their facility and chose GreenFields TX SD – a sand dressed hockey surface developed to enable players to enhance their technical skills and provide a stable pitch for ultimate ball control. Benefits of the synthetic tufted grass include high durability from the TX fibres and excellent foot grip due to the tight tuft bind.
The 2970.7m² artificial carpet specifically designed for hockey, features a short pile to ensure constant and fast ball-roll, accompanied by a Trocellen ProGame shock pad. The olive green playing area was accompanied by dark green run offs for maximum visual impact and features integral white lines with additional cut in cross field semi-circles and dividing lines in yellow as well as red line markings for netball courts. Additional to the ground works timber kickboards were added to the pitch boundary, along with a small shed at the side of the facility for maintenance storage.
Finishing touches to the sand dressed hockey surface included blue FIH competition weighted hockey goals, 7v7 portable goals and netball posts as well as pitch perimeter fencing with double gate access.
